Tiruchelvam Associates developed from the chambers of M. Tiruchelvam, Q.C., a former Senator, Minister and Solicitor-General of Sri Lanka, and was established as Tiruchelvam Associates in 1982. The law firm’s offices are located in Colombo. The founding partners of the law firm were Dr. Neelan Tiruchelvam, P.C., and Sithie Tiruchelvam. Dr. Neelan Tiruchelvam was an internationally recognized constitutional lawyer, a Member of Parliament and a visiting professor at the Harvard Law School.
